Join DCSI’s Megan Richardson in this timely HR:30 to explore the new language that the EEOC has proposed for its updated Enforcement Guidance on Workplace Harassment. The proposed update will maintain the EEOC’s original intent of protecting the workplace from discrimination and harassment, while modernizing the over 20-year-old language to reflect the present-day workforce and environment. The guidance includes harassment examples involving gender identity, misgendering and traits linked to an individual’s race or culture, all considered forms of harassment based on EEOC protections. In this session, we will review the proposed guidance and examples, and identify ways to reduce the risk of discrimination through training, policy and culture.
